"You are a ballhogger!" Isaiah screamed at his brother. "I am serious! You are a ballhogger!!" Isaiah continued to exclaim that his brother, Alexander, was a ballhogger. I guess this term means that Alexander has hogged the ball as in a glory stealer in a game.
Alexander wasn't receiving his little brother's words and rolling his eyes told Isaiah he didn't have anyone's ball. You see, Isaiah really wanted to push the grocery cart to the car and Alexander wouldn't have it. Isaiah contemplated the situation for a moment.
Then with equal zeal, he exclaimed, "You are a CART HOGGER!!!!!!" The kids were both frustrated with each other, but I almost busted a gut from laughing so hard. It really was very funny. I imagine we must look the same way to the Father when we become so red in the face when we don't get our way. We huff and puff and shake our fists demanding our "right" to push the cart. The cart in our life could be anything we refuse to surrender over to the Father.
How many times do we insist on having our own way, and miss out on the blessing of being used by the Father for His glory?
