Intoxicated Isaiah and other Thoughts

Today was the last in a series of tests Dr. Karnik ordered for Isaiah's "fetal alcohol syndrome". I didn't realize that when the radiology department told me they'd be giving something to help Isaiah sleep this meant full on anesthesia. I really thought it was going to be baby Xanax or something along those lines. Isaiah didn't wake up after the procedure and he still isn't awake now. The doctor at the clinic said that since Isaiah groaned when poked this indicated he was fine and sent us home. I was told he may sleep until tomorrow! When Alexander had his surgery they didn't send us home until he was completely awake and able to drink. Its a bit alarming to see Isaiah this knocked out. I'm glad all the brain tests are over. I'll sit down with Dr. Karnik on August 26 and hear what he thinks we need to do from here. Now I can begin tackling any concerns with Isaiah's heart. I am so blessed that I was chosen to be Isaiah's mother and go on this journey with him. I wouldn't have it any other way. By God's Grace.
