Yesterday, I got to stay off my legs for about four hours at work! This is a rare opportunity in retail!
I was amazed when I got home and realized I wasn't in pain!! I quickly threw on my tennis shoes and headed to the gym. This was my first visit to the gym in months. As soon as I got on the treadmill, I was almost giddy with excitement. Running just does something to you that no other exercise can do. I got a huge adrenaline rush and literally was grinning ear to ear. This man that was lifting weights close to me even threatened to steal my phone so he could listen to whatever I was listening to. Giggle. He tells me, "You must really like working out." How could I explain to him that I haven't been able to run in months and more importantly I have been in such awful pain! Standing on my legs on hard tile floor for hours has been very difficult. Of course, I really like working out!! Last night was a bit difficult though as I wasn't able to sleep because my legs ached desperately.
Tonight, I will be taking the kids to Celebration with me. I have hesitated to take them because I have hesitated getting really plugged in. I guess the fear of rejection is still too new. But, this church is really a grace church. Its amazing how we take grace for granted until the day we really need it and find it non-existent. Aren't you glad you can always find that unconditional grace in Jesus? He paid it all.
